Costa Rica Itinerary
The expression “Pura Vida” couldn’t describe better the feeling in Costa Rica. Everything is super chill, cities and villages co-exist peacefully with the lush nature and an animal is peeking on every corner.
If you want to relax and love nature, this is the place to be. Grab yourself a bike, rent a surf board and head to the next beach. After a good rest, La Fortuna, Monteverde and Corcovado National Park await your next adventure.
As we were coming from Panama, our journey started in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, a beach town where all you need is a bike and sunscreen.
To reach our next destination – La Fortuna – we took an unusual transportation: rafting in Rio Paquare.
In La Fortuna we climbed the lava trails of the volcano, even though the clouds didn’t give us a glimpse of eat.
We rented a car and headed to Peninsula Nicoya – famous for its beaches, suf and terrible roads. We chilled in Santa Teresa and Montezuma.
Back to the mainland we visited Manuel Antonio National Park – for great wildlife watching.
The last stop and the highlight of our trip was a multiway trek in Corcovado National Park – for a truly wild experience with the biodiversity of Costa Rica.

Moving around in Costa Rica
There is a shuttle or a bus everywhere you wish to go in Costa Rica. The main destinations are very well connected and it is super easy to go from A to B. Carribe Shuttle is a very common option among tourists.
Renting a car is also very common, though some areas such as the Nicoya Peninsula have bad roads. Not dangerous, it will just take a long time to reach your destination.
